July 16, 2025How Trump Declassifies vs. How Biden Pardons
I think it is fair to say that our last two presidents have stretched some serious norms. Trump brought us declassification by the mind. Donald created the notion that he could simply declassify documents in his mind, that he could just think or verbalize the thought, and presto, a document would be declassified.
Biden can just talk about peripheral parameters around the subject of a pardon, and even forget talking about them, and thousands of people will be pardoned. Joe does not have to be in the room; he doesn’t have to sign a pardon himself; he can just set the autopen on autopilot, and presto, men walk out of prison, and others never go to prison.
I would say that everyone on my side in the America First movement who is bemoaning the autopen, take a pause and see the big picture of norm-breaking presidents who are stretching to the limits concepts that have held for hundreds of years in America. You know, stones and glass houses, pot calling the kettle black, and splinters, logs in your eye kind of idioms.
President Trump and President Biden both have done things that shatter existing norms in government. Biden ignores the Supreme Court and tries another end-around to do a disappearing act with student loans. President Trump talks about revoking constitutional citizenship rights from Rosie O’ Donnell, New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, and other foes.
My point is succinct here, my dear MAGA:
“Clean your own porch before sweeping mine.”
“You’re throwing stones from a glass house.”
“Funny how the dirtiest hands love pointing fingers.”
“You can’t walk crooked and judge my stumble.”
“Hard to hear your advice over the sound of your own mess.”
“Don’t point out my smoke while your house is on fire.”
“You wear chaos like cologne, but want to critique my perfume.”
“You’re calling out crumbs with a pie stuck to your face.”
“Don’t measure my flaws with a ruler bent by your own guilt.”
“You can’t fix your reflection by cracking my mirror.”
“That’s bold — criticizing my raft while drowning in denial.”
“You’re judging my weeds with a jungle in your yard.”
