Forget and ignore everything you have been told about Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill. Just focus on this one fact and this one fact only. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, your government spent five trillion dollars a year. When the pandemic hit, Trump, Biden, and Congress brought the government spending from five trillion to seven trillion.

Once the pandemic passed, instead of bringing government spending back down to five trillion, Biden, Congress, and now Trump have kept it at seven trillion. America borrows an extra two trillion dollars each year. Rather than simply returning government spending to pre-pandemic levels, where we were already spending more than we brought in, the Republicans controlling the House, Senate, and White House in 2025 continue accelerating toward financial ruin, ignoring the recent downgrade of America’s credit rating.

Trump can give it any sweet-sounding nickname he wants, but there is nothing sweet about what Washington, D.C., is doing to the rest of us. Don’t get lost fighting over what is in the bill, but focus on the bill overall. I don’t care what is in it; we don’t have the money for this laissez-faire spending of our hard-earned tax money. They know, many of us know it, and they don’t give a damn. If you truly care about this populist movement we all started with the Tea Party and then MAGA or America First, we must join Elon in his quest for a new political party. Trump has let us down.
