What does one do with a sad friend
Whose tears flow new and seem to have no end
What does one say to sad ears
Are words okay, can they alleviate fears

A river of sadness that flows certain days
A world full of madness, worthy of no praise
Looking out from the inside, the world seems lost
Behind the curtain you cry, outside evil’s frost

Sadness is but a season that changes through the year
Sometimes there is no reason, only just tears
Hold on for the moment, this too will pass
Life is peaks and valleys, nothing really lasts

So, wipe the tear from your eye my friend
Don’t you worry your precious heart
The world is not as bad as it seems
In the mirror begins the start
