I constantly try to remind people that conservatives were completely wiped out in the 2016 presidential primaries. Sixteen flavors of conservatism were rejected by the Republican Party grass roots. Yet the Republican leadership ignores this and keeps trying to shove conservative ideology and failed principles down everyone’s throat.

Populism is on the rise across the globe and conservatism is in a precipitous decline. The people of the world want their nations back. They want their borders back and they want to protect their cultures. Multiculturalism was not the rose garden they were told it would be.

Back here in America, we speak up for our borders and culture and we are mocked for our traditions. Populists are called all sorts of names like protectionist, racists and bigots. In the face of such odious resistance, we still move our demagoguery forward. In the words of the greatest Hard Rock Band from Canada Triumph:

“Hey politician, can’t believe a word you say
Almighty media, whose truth d’you serve today?
Watchdog of justice, who keeps their eye on you?
Con man, song in hand, who you singin’ to?
The more I get to see, the less I understand
I’m just another ordinary man”
